Network for Teaching Entrepreneurship

Network for Teaching Entrepreneurship’s (NFTE) mission is to provide programs that inspire young people from low-income communities to stay in school, to recognize business opportunities and to plan for successful futures. When young people are given the opportunity to learn about entrepreneurship, they discover that what they are learning in the classroom is relevant to the real world and drop-out rates decrease significantly.

Our funding has helped NFTE to: Reach more than 500,000 young people. They currently have programs in 18 US states and 10 countries.

Our donation of $20,000 for 2015 will continue to support the teaching programmes in the classroom in NY for a further year.

Actis colleagues in New York have also: Engaged on the board of NFTE NY, shared their experiences with the students in class and judged entrepreneurship competitions.
